My journey to web development was led by the creative spark I’ve had throughout my life. In high school, my passion for ceramics fed this desire to create something useful yet beautiful. At the same time, I was inspired by the creativity of the rapidly developing technological world. Keeping my artistic endeavors alive as a hobby, I pursued a Marketing and Management focused Bachelor’s degree in Business at Northeastern University with the goal of contributing to a tech startup company. In tech sales roles after graduation, I enjoyed being able to explain and sell our tech to potential customers. In interacting with these customers, I gained an appreciation for the technical aspects of the software we were selling, and was always thinking of creative solutions to problems our customers were having. I wanted to be able to contribute to the development of this software, rather than selling a product that I had no hand in creating. Web development provides me the opportunity to get back to my creative roots, blending function with visual appeal in the form of web applications.
